TANZANIA ESL BOOTCAMP
JUN 26-JUL 24, 2021

Make the most of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity by registering today! Missionaries to Tanzania, Richard and Pam Smoak, are hosting the 2021 TEFL/TESOL Certificate program on the field because they believe using this approach will help open otherwise closed communities to the gospel.

How is this possible? Because those who opt to add 20 hours of practicum to their Advantage or Advantage+ certificate will be scheduled to teach in unreached communities during their practicum at local primary, middle and high schools. Don’t miss this!

LAND COST

This is your cost for lodging and transport while on the field in addition to a safari and an admin fee. Due to a generous donation, your LAND COST has been reduced by the amount of your tuition payment.

You will pay this amount to Global Missions in the spring of 2021 as we prepay these expenses on your behalf. We will send you a notice in advance and a reminder closer to the due date.

IMPORTANT: if you cancel after paying your LAND COST before May 27th, we may not be able to refund all of your payment, but will endeavor to reclaim as much as possible.

Any cancellation after May 27th is not eligible for a refund.

AIR COST

AIR COST is the amount it will cost you to fly from an airport of your choice to MWA (Mwanza) airport in Tanzania. We do not collect money for this, nor do we book it for you. When the time comes to book, we’ll give you advice and direct you to a short video to help you get the best price.

A rough estimate is $1800 Round Trip.

THE TESOL ADVANTAGE

Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages OPENS DOORS no matter the community.
R

KINDERGARTENERS

Young children are learning English in preschools and kindergartens throughout developing nations, especially in Asia. The turnover rate of teachers annually is approximately 50% so there is high demand for TESOL Certified teachers and personal tutors.
R

PRIMARY & SECONDARY

On every continent, including North America, there are primary and secondary students in process of learning English as a second, or foreign language. Not every community has this opportunity yet. Maybe one of your students will be the first to teach English where it’s never been taught!

R

BUSINESS MEN & WOMEN

With English being the primary language for business communication and the Internet, there is a growing number of international business men and women seeking the TESOL advantage over their peers. English usage in every day life and field specific environments is on the rise.
R

IMMIGRANTS & REFUGEES

With the current immigrant and refugee crisis facing Europe and parts of the Middle East, directors in camps, schools, and communities are in desperate need of certified teachers and concerned citizens and volunteers to help with the resettlement process.

TESOL ADVANTAGE +

40-HOUR SELF-DIRECTED STUDY

For just a little extra expense and effort, participants can qualify for the 100-hour self-directed study certificate. In addition to the Advantage level, Advantage + offers a self-directed grammar refresher that will serve as a great resource for those planning to work or tutor in higher education or business setting. Additionally, many paid jobs overseas require a 100-hour certificate which includes at least 60 hours of classroom instruction.
