Many village churches and families have very limited access to basic healthcare and health education. Simple medical care, good questions, and kind teaching can make a huge difference. You don’t have to be a specialist with years of overseas experience—if you have a medical background and a willing heart, you can help strengthen churches and bless communities. Along the way, there may be opportunities to explore partnerships with local NGOs or even lay the groundwork for a new NGO focused on holistic community care.

Quick Facts:

• Location: Malaysia (headquartered in Kota Kinabalu but will travel to village settings and the district family camp)
• Timeframe: 3-6 months (with flexibility, longer options possible)
• Focus: Basic medical care, health education, simple clinic work, assessment of local needs
• Ideal Background: Doctors, nurses, medical assistants, paramedics, pharmacists, or other healthcare workers (retired or active)

What You’ll Do:

• Use your medical background to provide basic medical care and health teaching in village settings (within your scope of practice and in cooperation with local leadership)
• Help run a small clinic during the district family camp, seeing camp attendees for simple concerns, triage, and health advice
• Offer health teaching for village churches and Christians—topics like hygiene, nutrition, chronic disease basics, and family health
• Whether you are specialized or general, serve where you’re strongest: consultations, education, systems, or planning
• Look at needs and suggest solutions for village churches and Christian families (e.g., simple first-aid kits, referral pathways, basic health protocols, training for local volunteers)
• Explore potential partnerships with local NGOs working in health, education, or community development, and help identify where churches and NGOs can cooperate
• As doors open and in coordination with leadership, assist in exploring the possibility of starting a new NGO focused on sustainable medical and community outreach (research, simple proposals, basic frameworks)

Impact:
Your presence will help churches care more effectively for their communities (both body and soul). Basic medical care and clear advice build trust, open doors for the gospel, and help pastors shepherd healthier families. Your assessments and suggestions can shape future medical teams, local training, and simple systems that keep serving long after you leave. By exploring NGO partnerships or new NGO pathways, you may also help create long-term structures that support ongoing medical and community work throughout the region.

As an AIM IT/Admin worker, you won’t be on a stage, but you’ll be helping the whole team function better and go further—especially as we explore new tools like AI for translation and digital evangelism.

What You’ll Do:

• Help organize office documents and digitize historic paperwork (scanning, filing, naming and storing files)
• Support translation work by helping translate material from English to Malay (or assisting translators with formatting, checking, and organizing)
• Help the national translation team use AI tools more effectively (prompting, formatting texts, managing drafts)
• Explore and document simple ways to use AI for digital evangelism (content ideas, test workflows, simple how-to guides)

Impact:
You’ll help build systems that will keep serving the church long after you go home—clean digital files, accessible archives, AI-assisted translation workflows, and simple tech setups that help leaders focus on ministry. This is a role where quiet, faithful service makes a big long-term difference.

Vision:
God is doing powerful things in Malaysia. The nation is full of changed lives, growing churches, and quiet, faithful miracles. Many of these stories are never told beyond the local church. As an AIM Storyteller, you’ll help capture and share these testimonies through simple photos, videos, and written stories so that others can pray, give, and go.

• Location: Across Malaysia (with a home base in a local church or city)
• Timeframe: 2-5 months (Can be shortened to a summer internship)
• Focus: Testimony gathering, basic photography, video & editing
• Ideal Background: Anyone comfortable with a smartphone or camera and basic editing tools (you don’t need to be a pro)

What You’ll Do:

• Document and record stories from individuals and churches in Malaysia (interviews, testimonies, ministry reports)
• Record and edit videos and photos that share the “Stories from Malaysia” with churches and partners
• Help organize and store media (files, folders, basic backup) so the stories aren’t lost
• Work with leaders to identify key themes and testimonies that can encourage the wider church
• Contribute to a library of multiple short videos and story packages that can be shared in services, online, and in missions promotions

Impact:
Your work will help believers around the world see what God is doing in Malaysia. Pastors and missionaries can use these stories to mobilize prayer, encourage churches, and raise support. Local believers will also be encouraged as they see their testimonies shared and valued.

In parts of Malaysia there are children who don’t “fit” neatly into the system—stateless kids, underserved communities, missionary kids, and young people who need extra help. You don’t have to be a professional educator to make a difference. If you can show up, be patient, and help kids learn, you can help create open doors for the gospel and long-term change.

• Timeframe: 3–6 months (Can be shortened to a summer internship)
• Focus: Education & tutoring for underserved kids and MKs
• Ideal Background: Anyone who likes kids and is willing to help them learn (teaching experience is helpful but not required)

What You’ll Do:

• Help in a school setting for stateless children, supporting classroom teachers with basic lessons and activities
• Assist in launching free tutoring for underserved communities—helping kids with homework, English, and basic skills
• Explore launching an NGO focused on education and community development (research, brainstorming, helping draft simple plans)
• Support parents by helping with MK schooling (homework help, basic classes, reading time)
• Help teach in an English language center, using simple materials and conversation practice
• Work with the team to develop and run at least one free 1-week tutoring program for the community

Impact:
Your service will help children who often fall through the cracks. Extra support in reading, English, and basic education builds trust with families, supports local churches, and opens the door for Bible studies and long-term discipleship. You’ll also help lay the groundwork for future tutoring programs or even a local NGO focused on education.

But beyond its beauty, Vanuatu is home to a vibrant and established United Pentecostal Church that continues to shine the light of Jesus throughout the islands. The people are hungry for the Word, and the church is active, but the needs are still great.

Frequent natural disasters such as Cyclone Pam, have left many churches and villages in need of help to rebuild and restore.

 In addition, there is a deep need for people willing to teach Bible School classes, minister and preach the Gospel in the villages and Churches, and assist the missionaries with work in the churches and be a presence on the field when they may be away.

This is a unique mission opportunity to strengthen and build on the strong foundation that already exists. To hold up the arms of faithful servants who have laboured for years, and to bring fresh strength, resources, and support.

Tasmania was one of the first areas settled by Europeans in Australia, and it became a state in 1901 when the nation of Australia was formed. Despite its natural richness and deep heritage, Tasmania remains spiritually underserved.

Tasmania is calling!

Right now, there is no United Pentecostal Church on the entire island of Tasmania. But there is a small, faithful group of believers who meet weekly, and they are praying, believing, and waiting for a breakthrough.

We are looking for Aimers who love the Gospel and are ready to roll up their sleeves and get to work both spiritually and practically within the community. If you are excited to lead Bible studies, knock on doors, do street evangelism, and reach a city that is so hungry for God, then this is your field.

WHERE?  Arriving after a four-hour flight southeast from Guam, Pohnpei is the capital and one of the four Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) in the North Pacific subregion also called Micronesia.  Besides Pohnpeian, they also speak English and the U.S. Dollar is the currency.  Like the climate, Micronesians are warm and loving, and serving their youth will be the opportunity of a lifetime.

WHERE?  After under two hours of flying southwest from Guam, Palau is in the North Pacific subregion of Micronesia.  Palauans also speak English, use the U.S. Dollar, and the nation’s 16 multi-cultural states are known for their pristine diving waters and breathtaking beaches.  The opportunities are endless for reaching not only Palauans but also Filipinos, Bangladeshi, other foreign nationals with the Gospel.  The church in Airai State provides a furnished one-bedroom “AIM House” and larger furnished rentals are available as well as used vehicles for purchase.

WHERE?  Arriving after a twenty-minute flight north from Guam, Saipan is the capital and largest of the Northern Mariana Islands, a U.S. territory in the North Pacific subregion of Micronesia.  Indigenous people from the Marianas are CHamorro (yes, the H is capitalized, too), and there are multiple cultures on Saipan where English is spoken and the U.S. Dollar is the currency.  Known for its historical World War II sites, the island is ready to make history by breaking up the fallow ground, planting and growing a thriving church again where furnished rentals are available as well as used vehicles for purchase.
